Sansin Paint and Stain Remover exterior wood stripper is a superior stripper that effectively removes stains (oil and latex) and paint coatings. As soon as it is sprayed on the surface, it begins to penetrate and attack the old coating layer. This stripper removes weather damage, water marks, and mildew while restoring the natural color of the wood. Biodegradable, it works quickly and rinses with water.

Sansin Paint and Stain Remover exterior wood stripper is a ready-to-use product that removes paint, stain, sealer, and waterproofing primer from a wood surface. This product removes all dirt, mildew, fungus, and weather damage and restores the wood to its natural color. This exterior wood stripper is biodegradable, water-washable, and easy to use. May require two applications on some surfaces.
Uses:
This stripper is recommended on wood surfaces already covered with old stain or paint such as decks, fences, siding, logs, cladding boards, lumber, and outdoor furniture.
Coverage:
100 to 200 sq. ft./gallon (3.78 liters) depending on surface porosity.
Surface preparation:
- The surface must be dry and the temperature above 10°C (50°F).
- Wet vegetation with water or protect with a tarp during application
- Protect surrounding surfaces with polyethylene sheeting
- Do not allow the stripper to come into contact with metal, fabrics, floor coverings, or garden items
- Keep children and pets away from the work area
Application of Paint and Stain Remover Stripper:
- Apply a good uniform coat by spraying, rolling, or brushing
- On vertical surfaces, begin application from the bottom up
- Avoid runs and drips
Application Instructions:
Step 1:
- Do not allow Sansin Paint and Stain Remover exterior wood stripper to dry
- Occasionally moisten the product with water to keep it active
- Do not apply during the hottest part of the day or in direct sunlight
- Allow the stripper to work for a minimum of 20 minutes to remove graying and stains
- During the waiting time, you can brush the wood with a brush. Always brush in the direction of the wood grain
- Rinse the surface thoroughly using a garden hose or a pressure washer (maximum 500 PSI pressure)
- Direct the pressure washer jet in the direction of the wood grain using a constant back-and-forth sweeping motion
- Do not hold the water jet in the same spot too long, which could damage the wood surface
- Repeat all these steps with the application of Wood Strip stripper if the result is not satisfactory enough.
- Allow the wood to dry completely before proceeding to step 2
Step 2:
- Application of Sansin Wood Lightener Neutralizer
- Completely dilute the Sansin Wood Lightener packet in one gallon of warm or hot water
- Spray Wood Lightener liberally over the entire surface
- Allow Wood Lightener to neutralize the treated wood surface for a minimum of 10 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly with water
- Allow the surface to dry completely for at least 24 hours before sanding
- On planed wood surfaces, sand using an orbital power sander with 60 or 80 grit abrasive paper to eliminate any fuzzy appearance and properly prepare the surface to receive the stain
Storage:
- Close the container without over-tightening the cap
- Store in a dry place
- Avoid exposing the product to freezing temperatures
- Avoid unnecessary exposure of containers to direct sunlight
- Do not reuse empty containers
- Rinse the container before recycling
