Finitec MicroConcrete is a decorative concrete micro-layer that can be trowel-applied to almost any surface: walls, fireplace mantels, showers, countertops, and floors.
There is no need to remove the old surface (such as ceramic tile, for example); simply cover it with MicroConcrete.
It’s a simple product to use and ideal for your home projects. MicroConcrete is known for its adhesion and resistance. Its increased resistance makes it an ideal coating for covering floors with a concrete effect. It offers 30% to 40% savings compared to a new countertop or floor.
Depending on the desired look, you can create a textured (relief) or very smooth (polished concrete) surface with the same coating using different techniques.
Used with Finitec Surface Preparation and MicroConcrete Protective Sealer, MicroConcrete provides an accessible concrete effect with only 3 products.

Can be applied to:
MDF, HDF, wood, cement board (Durock), finish plywood, metal, aluminum, glass, gypsum, paint, concrete, masonite, ceramic, laminate, melamine, marble, Corian, thermoplastic. The substrate must be sound, stable, and clean. Surface preparation must be adapted to the material type. Seal new gypsum and joints with a water-based primer-sealer. Refer to the product technical data sheet.
Drying time
Dry to the touch: 1 to 3 hours

Preparation
- Protect surfaces adjacent to the project with masking tape, drop cloths, and plastic sheeting.
- Prepare a bucket, drill with a concrete mixer attachment, and a trowel.
- Prime new gypsum walls and joints with an undercoat primer-sealer before applying MicroConcrete.
To apply MicroConcrete on most surfaces:
- Clean the surface with Finitec Surface Preparation. Rinse well and let dry.
- Using a drill and concrete mixer, mix the 3.5 kg bag with 700 mL of water and the 18 kg bag with 3.6 L of water,
until a smooth, homogeneous mixture is obtained. - Apply the MicroConcrete with a trowel using half-moon or circular motions. Once the microconcrete has been spread on your surface, wait 15 to 30 minutes to allow it to set on the substrate. Then, smooth the surface with a trowel to level it and create the desired finish. If necessary, you can apply a second coat after 4 hours if the microconcrete is dry to the touch.
- After 12 h, sand the surface with 120 or 150 grit sandpaper or remove imperfections with a trowel.
- Dry clean with a brush or vacuum. Do not clean with water or anything wet.
- After a minimum of 12 h, apply Finitec MicroConcrete Protective Sealer.
