Description:
The Finitec MicroConcrete Protective Sealer is a finish used to ensure the durability and resistance of the MicroConcrete system. After applying the MicroConcrete, it is covered with the Protective Sealer. It is a transparent water-based protector, available in matte and wet-look finishes. The matte finish highlights the natural look of concrete while the wet-look gives it a chic and slightly glossy touch.
The wet-look Protective Sealer is recommended for application on horizontal surfaces. The matte finish is preferable for vertical or decorative surfaces.
The Protective Sealer gives the surface a dust-proof and stain-proof character. This greatly facilitates the cleaning of surfaces enhanced with the MicroConcrete system. It also allows MicroConcrete to retain its color longer and prevents the concrete layer from crumbling.
By covering MicroConcrete with the Protective Sealer, you obtain a durable and extremely resistant finish.

Caution: Do not apply additional coats if the surface is saturated. For the matte finish, do not apply more than 2 coats.
Maintenance
- Before the first wet cleaning, the MicroConcrete sealer requires at least 7 days to reach full maturation. Use Finitec maintenance products Wood Floor Cleaner or Finitec Ceramic Cleaner.
- Wait 7 days before using the shower.
- During the following 7 days, ensure no water is left on the surface.

How to apply
See how to apply Finitec sealer in a few easy steps
Before you begin
1- Wait a minimum of 12 hours before applying the sealer to the MicroConcrete surface.
2- If necessary, sand the MicroConcrete surface with 120/150 grit sandpaper or remove roughness with a trowel.
3- Clean the MicroConcrete surface with a vacuum.
4- Remove the masking tape (that you applied before the MicroConcrete coat) and apply new masking tape
to protect adjacent surfaces.
Steps for Matte Sealer
1- Stir the MicroConcrete sealer and let rest 5 to 10 minutes.
2- Pour into a paint tray.
3- Apply with a brush or roller or a Finitec Applicator, a thin coat ensuring the MicroConcrete surface is well saturated.
4- Wait 2 hours before applying a second coat. Ensure the surface is dry before applying a 2nd coat.
Number of coats depending on surface
Decorative wall: 1 to 2 coats
Countertop, furniture, table, floor: 1 to 2 coats
Shower: 2 coats
Caution:
- Do not exceed 12h between coats.
- Do not apply more than 2 coats of Matte Sealer.
- Do not apply additional coats if the surface is already saturated
Steps for Wet-look Sealer:
1- Stir the MicroConcrete sealer and let rest 5 to 10 minutes.
2- Pour into a paint tray.
3- Apply with a brush or roller or a Finitec Applicator, a thin coat ensuring the MicroConcrete surface is well saturated.
4- Wait 2 hours before applying a second coat, ensure it is dry to the touch. If necessary, you can sand the surface with 180 or 220 grit sandpaper between coats.
Number of coats depending on surface
Decorative wall: 1 to 2 coats
Countertop, furniture, table, floors: 2 to 3 coats
Shower: 4 coats
Caution:
- Do not exceed 12h drying time between coats
- It is normal for the applicator or roller to become saturated with dust from the MicroConcrete after some time. Change applicator/roller or clean thoroughly.
- Never apply a Matte Sealer over a Wet-look Sealer.
