Preventive and remedial treatment against insects, mould, algae, and fungal rot — Sansin Boracol
Sansin Boracol was designed to protect wood against fungi, mould, and insects that cause decay, and also to eradicate them. It can be used as a preventive treatment, highly effective on wood as well as on stone and any other porous exterior surface. It must be applied only to surfaces that farm animals cannot bite. Never use the product indoors, because in large quantities, humans or living beings will breathe it in, which is not recommended.
This product is designed for on-site use to prevent fungal, mould, and insect attacks. BORACOL will penetrate 3–5 mm deep into the wood and will establish protection against any invasion (40 mm deep for a 2-year penetration). This product can be used as an initial treatment and is normally used for the bottom logs on the exterior of log homes.
Boracol drying time on exposed exterior surfaces varies greatly depending on environmental conditions and the moisture content of the substrate.
To reduce the loss of Boracol’s active ingredients, we recommend covering the wood with a Sansin wood protection product known for its excellent water-repellent performance.
The substrate must be allowed to dry for a minimum of 24 hours up to two weeks to prevent Boracol from affecting the drying time of a finish applied over it.
