Oil and Wax Remover - TEKNO
Livos Tekno is a stain remover designed for tacky, uncured layers resulting from an overly thick application of natural oil or wax that cannot be removed otherwise. It eliminates dirt, grease, waxes, polymer waxes, and vegetable and mineral oils. It is the ideal product when you have applied wood oil and the surface remains sticky even after the normal drying time for the product.
How to apply:
Shake well before use. Dilute with 5 to 10 parts water and apply with a sponge or brush to the surface to be treated. Allow to act for 20 to 30 minutes. Completely remove the sticky film using a single-disc machine with a 120-grit disc (e.g., green), an abrasive pad, or a sponge. Remove excess and rinse at least twice with clean water until the water is neutral. If these steps are only partially performed, protect adjacent areas. Protect adjacent raw wood from any contact! After drying, fine sanding is mandatory.
Finishing:
For finishing, apply one of the LIVOS oils (e.g., MELDOS No. 264 or ARDVOS No. 266) and optionally one of the LIVOS waxes (BILO No. 303 or No. 306, or BEKOS No. 312). Account for the reduced absorbency of the substrate.
Application Tips:
Allow the product to act on the surface: the duration will depend on the thickness and age of the stains. For this purpose, it is essential to perform preliminary tests before starting the work. For quick and effective results, use hot water and equipment with good mechanical action (high-pressure cleaner, brush, abrasive sponge, or disc). To achieve a homogeneous finish with the new application, the floor must first be thoroughly sanded to avoid any subsequent risk of stain formation.
