Museum-quality wax made in Canada, using a traditional recipe passed down for generations. Homestead House Furniture Wax is made from a blend of beeswax, hemp oil, and a small amount of carnauba wax. It is clear.
Furniture wax is ideal for protecting and creating patinas on milk paint or chalk paint, while delivering a beautiful glossy finish. It seals and protects paint, furniture, and wood.
Homestead House label furniture wax is the same as Miss Mustard Seed Furniture Wax, made by Homestead House and sold under the Miss Mustard Seed label.
Clear, it delivers a rich sheen and protects all your projects. It is ideal as a protective wax for limewash finishes.
It can be used in combination with White Wax and Antiquing Wax for furniture, both under the Miss Mustard Seed label.

How to apply:
- Ensure the surface is clean. If necessary, clean with an organic degreaser or black soap.
- On a waxed finish: Remove excess wax buildup using a citrus solvent and #00 steel wool.
- On bare wood, it is best to apply one or two coats of tung oil or hemp oil as a sealer before applying the wax.
- Application: Apply using a wax brush or a clean, lint-free bleached cloth.
- Let dry for 5 to 10 minutes, then wipe off the excess.
- Once the wax is completely dry (about 1 1/2 hours), buff with a cotton cloth or a buffing brush for a better sheen.
- Often, two coats are needed to achieve a beautiful sheen.
- Maintenance: Apply a thin coat of furniture wax once a year or as needed.
- The finish reaches maximum hardness after 30 days.
