How to apply
How to apply
With this Staalmeester Pro Hybrid round brush, apply the paint to your surface, then smooth the excess in one direction for one minute.
Need more time? Add Fusion Paint Extender for a flawless result! Avoid over-brushing once the paint starts to dry (dragging indicates it is too dry) to prevent marks.
Tips
The goal is to apply two thin coats of paint, following the direction of the wood grain. Let dry between coats. If the surface feels rough to the touch, you can use fine- or medium-grit sandpaper to smooth any imperfections before applying the second coat.
Consider your environment: paint performs best between 10 and 30 °C (50 and 87 °F). Use Fusion Paint Extender in dry weather or a paint mister to keep the surface workable. In high humidity, allow a longer drying time between coats.
Please note that the tie cords are green and must be kept intact to maintain perfect bristle tension and alignment.
Brush care
Wash with our brush cleaner to keep this brush for life.
Do not let paint dry on the bristles; dip them in water just below the ferrule and let them soak if you do not have time to clean your brush. Come back later to wash it with a brush cleaner.
Q&A
Q: Can I use paint thinner or mineral spirits to wash my straight synthetic bristle brush?
A: No. Since the bristles are synthetic, they could be damaged by regular solvent. Use water and regular soap or Fusion Cleaning Soap.
