Important restriction (Kynar®):
The product adheres to standard aluminum and anodized aluminum windows. If your aluminum has a coating branded Kynar® (a type of hyper-resistant, non-stick architectural paint or finish often used on commercial metal), the adhesion of Big Stretch will be weak. In this specific case, the manufacturer recommends performing a preliminary test.
Do not apply to these types of projects: Roofing, high pedestrian or vehicle traffic areas, areas subject to flooding, polypropylene, waxes, polyethylene, and silicone. (Big Stretch Clear should not be used on copper flashing.)

How to apply
- The surface must be perfectly clean, degreased, and free of dust or old caulk residue (especially if it was silicone, as nothing adheres to silicone)
- For joints deeper than 1/2 inch, insert a foam backer rod to achieve the proper depth and a stronger seal.
- Cut the nozzle to the desired bead size, puncture the inner seal, and insert the gun into the joint.
- You can use a damp foam or bristle brush to smooth the texture of the caulk bead.
- Remaining product can be stored by tightly wrapping the nozzle.
- Outdoor drying time: Wait at least 4 hours before applying latex (water-based) paint.
- Interior latex paints: after 24 to 48 hours (longer in humid conditions)
- Outdoor oil-based paint: Wait approximately 24 hours if using an oil-based paint.
- Humidity: Drying time may be longer if the air is very humid or cold.
Not suitable for continuous immersion in water (such as tubs or showers) or for surfaces subject to pedestrian traffic (sidewalks or floors).

A- No, this is not recommended. For proper adhesion, remove the old silicone joint.
Q4- It has only been 1 hour since my Big Stretch caulk joint was applied and it already feels dry to the touch. Can I paint it now?
A- The caulk may feel dry to the touch in as little as 30 minutes, but it is far from being dry deep down. If covered with paint too early, it may never be able to dry properly and the paint covering it may also crack.
