Description:
The ENS Naturals Top Coat formula is designed to preserve and enhance the natural tone of wood. ENS Naturals Top Coat creates a gloss finish over stain or finish already applied to wood. This product provides a more attractive appearance and improves the performance of surfaces protected with SDF, Classic, DEC, ENS, or other solvent- or water-based stain formulas. ENS is designed to be applied to vertical and horizontal surfaces—primarily siding, beams, decks, furniture, and doors and windows.

Surface preparation
Inspect the surface and make necessary repairs. Replace wood or composite boards as needed.
Next, clean the surface using Multi-wash formula.
Once the surface is dry, sand using an orbital sander equipped with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper.
Dust off when sanding is complete.
Applying ENS Naturals Top Coat
On previously stained surfaces, perform a small test first to verify that the color obtained is the desired one.
Apply ENS Naturals Top Coat with a high-quality brush or by spray. For spraying, use a conventional or airless sprayer. Avoid high-shear pumps.
Apply one coat 4 to 6 mils thick (wet). Allow to dry a minimum of 4 h before applying the second coat. If necessary, wait until the following day to apply the second coat.
ENS Naturals Top Coat is a fast-drying coating. Take special care not to <<overwork>> it (go over it again with brush or sprayer) once it has begun to dry.
Finish maintenance
Refresh vertical surfaces after 4 to 5 years, or when signs of wear become visible. Regular surface maintenance prevents discoloration of the protected surface, increases its dimensional stability (the surface will not warp), and its ability to repel water.
During maintenance, first clean with Multi-wash and allow to dry completely. If necessary, hand-sand to improve adhesion of the new coat. Dust off, then apply 1 coat of ENS Naturals Top Coat.
Application conditions
- Do not apply when the surface is hot
- Avoid application when the surface is exposed to direct sunlight
- If there is imminent risk of rain or frost, do not apply ENS Naturals Top Coat
