Description
Exteria Exterior Deck Oil by Ligna
EXTERIA by Ligna is a protective exterior wood sealer made from natural oils. Exteria protects planed, rough, thermally modified, cedar, ipe, and pressure-treated wood. It provides protection against water, insects, fungi, and UV rays.
Use on all your exterior surfaces: patio, deck, exterior wood siding, wood trim, windows, deck, outdoor furniture, etc.
Exteria oil will not peel or flake; it penetrates the wood and bonds deep within. No stripping or scraping needed to refresh the finish.
To protect the wood, it is necessary to apply two coats of tinted Exteria oil. Pigments in tinted oils protect against UV rays.
Key Features:
- Water-repellent wood sealer
- Protects against fungi and insects
- UV protection
- Enhances the wood grain
- Contains 50% solids
- Will not peel

How to apply:
- The drying time after cleaning or heavy rain should be at least 48 hours before applying the oil.
- Prepare the surface with 80-grit sandpaper using a 5″ orbital sander to remove the mill glaze.
- Apply using a brush, pad or cloth onto sufficiently dry wood.
- After a few minutes, wipe the treated surface with a cloth or pad to help the oil penetrate the pores of the wood and remove any unabsorbed oil.
- Allow 8 to 24 hours of drying time before applying a second coat of oil, without sanding.
- The ambient temperature must be above 10°C during application and for 8 hours afterwards.
- After this time, lightly sand with 180-grit sandpaper before applying the second coat.
Precautions for use:
To avoid spontaneous combustion, tools, brushes, applicators and oil-soaked cloths must be placed away from air in a tightly closed metal container or immersed in water before disposal.

Available colors
* Colors displayed may vary depending on screen, wood grain, texture, porosity, as well as preparation and application method. We encourage you to test on a small surface beforehand to ensure the accuracy of the desired color. BE AWARE! The colorless natural color, containing no pigment, offers no protection against wood graying. The bleached 17 color is not available as it cannot provide adequate UV protection. The honey color offers minimal protection but needs to be refreshed much more frequently than the other colors.
