Description:

RESINOPOXY is a two-component clear epoxy resin. RESINOPOXY is specifically formulated for thick castings, modeling, and encapsulating objects. It offers beautiful transparency without yellowing. With 100% solids content, it contains no solvents and releases no VOCs. RESINOPOXY contains a UV-protective additive. With a mild odor, RESINOPOXY can be used indoors without ventilation.

Formula for calculating quantity in liters:

Length x width x thickness = number of cubic inches

divided by 61 = number of liters of epoxy required

Preparation:

The mold must not contain any cracks and must not be made of porous material. If you are using wood with bark, make sure to clean it thoroughly. You can protect the mold surface with insulation tape such as “TUCK TAPE”. Joints can also be sealed with a sealant. Place the surface to be covered in the mold.

Mixing:

Prepare only the necessary amount of product, as once mixed the product cannot be stored.

Use clean equipment to avoid contaminating the product.

Mix slowly and thoroughly to avoid creating too many air bubbles in the product.

Stir part A individually and then part B at low speed.

Mix part A and part B together in a very clean container with a drill-mounted mixer at low speed for three minutes (300 to 450 rpm).

Scrape the sides thoroughly to the bottom of the mixing container to obtain a uniform mixture.

How to apply:

Pour the resin slowly to avoid creating bubbles. It will spread and self-level. Work at temperatures between 68°F to 72°F and humidity not exceeding 65%. You can use a spatula to position the product.

Tip: Slightly warming the resin before pouring will prevent air bubbles; you can immerse your container with the mixed resin in warm water.

You must not exceed a thickness of 2″ per layer. For thicker castings, pour additional layers after 36 to 48 hours, when the first layer is still flexible but the resin no longer sticks to your fingers.

On very porous surfaces (plaster, bark, cork, wood), brush on a coat of RESINOPOXY to seal and prevent air bubble formation. Apply the remaining resin immediately.
