For increased protection in demanding environments, Noxyde is the ideal product. It is an ultra-resistant acrylic coating, extremely flexible (stretches up to 200%), and covers in a single coat, though 2 coats are required. The product can be applied to metal, galvanized metal, and rusted metal surfaces that have been minimally prepared: pressure washed, degreased if necessary, and with rust spots ground down.
Noxyde is a self-sealing product. It can be applied over an existing coating as long as the paint is in good condition and not peeling. It can be topcoated, if desired, with Rust-Oleum 9800 Series DTM Urethane.
Drying time before recoating:
4 h if recoating with Noxyde; otherwise, allow 16 h of drying time before recoating with another product.
