Distressed and Rustic Texture - Fresco
Description:
Create raw, European-style textures and material effects with Fresco, the Fusion Mineral Paint additive. This product allows you to achieve aged effects while benefiting from excellent adhesion and durability. It ages surfaces, providing a distressed, washed, rustic, and unique texture and appearance.
Cracked Texture:
Whisk 1 part Fresco with 2 parts Fusion Mineral Paint in your chosen color. Apply a generous coat (1 to 3 mm) of this mixture with a brush. After 10-20 minutes, re-brush to flatten any lumps. To accentuate cracks, use a hairdryer.
European Chalk Plaster Finish:
Whisk 1 part Fresco with 8 parts Fusion Mineral Paint in your chosen color. Apply with a brush in all directions. If there are lumps, brush over them again to break them up.
Distressed, Washed Finish:
Whisk 1 part Fresco with 2 parts Fusion Mineral Paint in your chosen color. Apply one coat of this mixture with a brush. After 10-20 minutes, re-brush to flatten any lumps. Allow the paint to dry completely before layering other colors, which you will apply in the same manner. Create random textures and effects for an imperfect application. Once the desired number of colors is achieved, distress with a slightly damp green or white nylon pad to reveal the previous paint layers. If you wish to avoid color mixing, work dry with 180 to 220 grit sandpaper.
