Description:
EXTENDER is an additive that allows paint to dry more slowly. This gives you more working time and the ability to make corrections. EXTENDER can also help eliminate the appearance of brush strokes.
- Allows Fusion Mineral Paint and other water-based paints to flow more easily;
- Reduces brush and roller marks;
- Reduces wear on spray guns;
- Working time may increase depending on the amount of EXTENDER added;
- This eco-friendly version adds no extra VOCs.
Features:
PREPARATION:
Mix 15 ml to 30 ml with one pint of FUSION paint. Adding more EXTENDER is not recommended, as it will impact the paint’s total cure time.
Prepare your project surface as you normally would with FUSION Mineral Paint. Clean with TSP and sand lightly with sandpaper.
APPLICATION:
Apply paint as usual. You will have more working time to refine your brush strokes. Once your first coat is dry, you can apply a second coat if needed. We recommend waiting at least 4 hours between coats when using EXTENDER.
If applying the second coat lifts the first, either too much extender was used or a longer cure time is required before the next coat.
DISPOSING OF UNUSED PAINT:
Once FUSION Mineral Paint is mixed with EXTENDER, it must be used within two days. We recommend mixing only what you need for your project.
CLEANING TOOLS:
Soap and water.
