How to apply
Preparation
- The oiled surface must be clean, dry (max. 18% moisture), and dust-free.
- Clean the surface with Osmo Intensive Cleaner then rinse with clear water.
- The Maintenance Oil is ready to use.
- For raw or grayed wood, it is necessary to sand the surface (GR 120-180 by hand) and apply an Osmo Polyx-Oil Original beforehand.
- The maintenance result depends, among other factors, on the wood’s characteristics.
- It is advisable to always perform an application test, especially on coatings whose surface protection is unknown.
How to apply
- Shake well before use.
- Apply thinly using an Osmo Double Blade Spatula or an Osmo Microfiber Roller.
- Work the product into the wood using a single-disc machine and a white pad (except for 3098).
- Remove excess product.
- Allow to dry for approx. 3 to 4 hours, ensuring good ventilation in the room.
- For small surfaces, the Maintenance Oil can also be applied with a white cotton cloth.
- Allow to dry with good ventilation.
TOOL CLEANING: With Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner (de-aromatized).
STORAGE
5 years and more if cans are stored dry and tightly closed. Store at room temperature 24 to 36 hours before use if viscosity is excessive due to freezing.
