Passeport Elite hybrid floor varnish (water-based oil) is low in VOC, dries quickly and offers superior abrasion resistance thanks to aluminum oxide. To provide a rich color to your floor, hybrid varnish is the ideal choice.
Description
Oil-modified water-based urethane varnish (hybrid) recommended for all interior wood surfaces such as: floors, furniture, woodwork, doors, cabinets, etc. This is a low-odor varnish that dries quickly and provides a durable finish with a rich golden color. Its abrasion resistance is excellent thanks to aluminum oxide technology.

Available sheens:
- Matte = 5-10% maximum
- Satin = 25–30%
- Semi-gloss = 55–60%
- Gloss = 85% minimum
Applicators:
Brush, roller (5 or 10 mm), applicator pad, spray gun
Drying time:
2-3 hours at 20°C and 50% relative humidity. The drying time of hybrid varnish varies depending on ambient temperature and relative air humidity.
Curing time:
Wait 24 hours after applying the final coat before allowing light traffic. The curing process takes 7 to 10 days (75% cured after 1 day, 90% cured after 3 days). Replace rugs after one week.
How to apply
Surface preparation:
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of wax, grease, dirt and dust.
New wood: Sand to obtain a smooth and uniform surface.
Varnished wood: Sand to obtain good adhesion. If the varnish is peeling, strip and refinish.
Stain: If desired, use a Passeport Elite water-based stain or a non-sealing oil-based stain to stain new or bare wood.
Varnish application:
It is recommended to acclimate and apply hybrid varnish at an ambient temperature between 15 and 30°C with a relative humidity rate between 30 and 80%.
1. Mix well by stirring gently with a stick.
2. Apply 2 or 3 coats uniformly in the direction of the wood grain, sanding lightly between each coat. Do not use steel wool.
3. Allow surfaces to dry completely and wait at least 7 days before cleaning them.
Clean-up:
Clean tools with water.
Storage:
Minimum temperature 5°C, maximum temperature 35°C. Hybrid varnish is freeze-thaw stable (if frozen, allow to thaw completely before using). KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
