DIF Liquid Concentrate Wallpaper Stripper
Clear your home’s walls of old wallpaper using DIF liquid concentrate stripper. This powerful enzyme-based solution penetrates through the wallpaper to break down the adhesive. It works effectively on light adhesives as well as heavy-duty glues. Simply dilute with warm water, apply to the surface, and let sit for a few minutes.
DIF liquid concentrate stripper is biodegradable, non-toxic, non-staining, and effectively dissolves adhesive quickly. The 635 ml bottle will provide up to 2 gallons of stripper, enough to remove wallpaper from a 12′ x 24′ room.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Lay down a solvent-resistant plastic drop cloth covered with newspapers to protect the work area from accidental drips or spills. Protect carpets, furniture, and porous ceilings before application. Protect eyes and skin. Wear safety goggles and chemical-resistant gloves.
APPLYING DIF STRIPPER
Note: Ensure proper room ventilation during application. Wear a NIOSH-approved protective mask if applying DIF by spray.
Before applying the stripper, attempt to pull or tear off the top layer (pattern) of the wallpaper starting at the seams. If it does not come off easily, do not force it; instead, perforate it with the Paper Tiger wallpaper tool to allow the stripper to penetrate through and reach the adhesive. The more holes there are, the better the penetration. You can spray DIF stripper with a garden-type sprayer, or apply it with a sponge or a 10 mm paint roller. (Do not use a fine mist sprayer). Wait 15 minutes. Repeat the application. Re-wet a small section and scrape off the loosened wallpaper. Use the Paper Scraper™ or a scraper to easily remove the wallpaper without damaging the wall surface. To remove adhesive residue, reapply DIF (more concentrated or pure), wait 15 minutes, then scrape or sponge off. Rinse with clean water.
Note: Borders that are difficult to remove may have been hung with a non-water-soluble adhesive and may require prolonged wetting and more scraping.
CLEANING
Clean tools and equipment with soap and water
For best results, remember to use the Paper Tiger wallpaper perforation tool.
