Description:
Lepage Ultra-Strong Contact Adhesive is the strongest contact adhesive in the Lepage range. It enables bonding wood, laminates, leather, cork, rigid PVC, metal, and many other materials.
How to apply Lepage contact adhesive:
Preparation
Use Lepage contact adhesive at a temperature above 15°C. Surfaces must be flat, well-fitted, clean, and dry. If surfaces are smooth, it is best to dull them by lightly sanding.
Fit the materials before applying the adhesive, as bonding is instantaneous on contact.
Mix the adhesive evenly before use.
Apply Lepage contact adhesive
Apply a generous, even coat to both surfaces. Let dry for 15 min or until paper pressed onto the adhesive stays clean.
Join the parts within 60 min after applying the adhesive. If the adhesive dries for more than 60 min, reactivate it with a second light coat.
Porous surfaces (particleboard, wood, etc.) require more than one coat. Let each coat dry completely between applications and before joining the 2 surfaces. The adhesive is dry when it becomes glossy. Dull areas require another coat.
Align and join the parts carefully. Immediately after positioning, apply as much pressure as possible, starting from the center toward the edges, using a seam roller or a narrow roller. The assembly can be cut or machined immediately.
Cleaning
If Lepage contact adhesive is wet, use an acetone- or d-limonene-based adhesive remover. When the adhesive is dry, scrape with a sharp tool.
Not recommended for use on polystyrene or polyurethane foams, some rigid plastics and painted surfaces, brass, copper, and other copper alloys. Check compatibility with other materials.
