How to apply
Pressure Plus makes your pressure-treated wood look beautiful and improves its dimensional stability by significantly reducing moisture absorption during wet weather. A single coat provides long-lasting beauty and performance for your pressure-treated decks or fences.
PREPARATION
- Inspect wood surfaces for defects and make repairs as necessary.
- Use the appropriate cleaner: Sansin Wood Cleaner and/or clean the surface with clear water using a pressure washer of at least 3,000 PSI. Be careful to avoid eroding the surface.
- For best results and a smooth surface, sand the surface using an orbital sander and 60-80 grit sandpaper.
- Complete cleaning using a pressure washer, vacuum, or compressed air. The surface must be clean and free of dust, dirt, grease, wax, or other existing coatings.
APPLICATION METHODS
- Always apply a generous coat to the surface and allow it to penetrate to the point of saturation.
- By dipping
- By brush
- By submersion
- Sprayer – hand or power spray (low pressure or airless)
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- Stir well before and during application.
- Test the product on a small area to ensure proper penetration and color.
- Apply in ideal temperature and humidity conditions: 21°C (70°F) and approximately 50% relative humidity.
- Do not apply when precipitation is forecast or if there is a risk of frost.
- Saturate the wood surface (5-6 wet mils).
- Back-brush to spread evenly and eliminate marks.
- Do not apply to wood if it is hot to the touch.
- Constantly monitor the surface; wipe off any excess and back-brush.
- Always read the instructions before starting any project.
