RockSolid’s Moisture Stop Concrete Sealer is designed to create a moisture barrier to promote adhesion of the topcoat. Moisture Stop penetrates the surface to chemically bond by reacting with the concrete’s free calcium and water. It forms a gel in cracks, filling pores and capillaries.
As a result, an underground barrier is created against water and contaminant penetration while forming a vapor barrier.
Since coatings such as epoxy form a thicker film, they are limited to about 3% substrate moisture for worry-free application. RockSolid Moisture Stop Concrete Sealer then allows their use when required. It can also be used on its own as the sole protection for concrete.

Usage
RockSolid Moisture Stop Concrete Sealer can be used on sidewalks, steps, concrete patios, basements, garage floors, retaining walls, and concrete block walls.
This product can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Do not use on asphalt.
After applying RockSolid Moisture Stop Concrete Sealer, the surface can be coated with paint or a floor covering.

USES
- Dry to the touch: 1 hour
- Foot traffic: 2 hours

How to apply
PREPARATION
- Proper surface preparation is essential to achieve the best results.
- The surface must be structurally sound and free of dirt, dust, and any other contaminants.
- Remove any oil or grease with Krud Kutter® cleaner.
- Scrub with a stiff-bristle brush or broom.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- A pressure washer is preferred if possible.
- Repeat as needed to clean and rinse completely.
- Allow to dry completely (24–48 hours).
APPLICATION
- Use only with adequate ventilation, even though the product is water-based.
- The RockSolid Moisture Stop Sealer is ready to use, so do not dilute it.
- Shake the container vigorously for 30–45 seconds.
- Saturate the entire surface, following the coverage rate of about 175 sq ft/3.78 L, using a low-pressure sprayer or by pouring the product directly onto the floor.
- Spread the product over the floor with a stiff-bristle broom or squeegee, ensuring it penetrates well.
- Using a hose, keep the floor wet long enough for it to remain wet for 30–45 minutes.
- Using a squeegee, remove as much excess product and water that has not been absorbed by the concrete as possible, pushing it toward one area.
- A wet/dry vacuum can be used to remove excess product.
- Wait at least 2 hours, rinse the surface with water, and remove it with a squeegee until the surface is dry.
Important: Failure to rinse the surface will result in efflorescence.
For best results before applying a coating, wait until the RockSolid Moisture Stop Sealer is completely dry, and test moisture again using the polyethylene method.
RESTRICTIONS
- Use only when the air (ambient) temperature is between 10 and 32°C (50 and 90°F) and relative humidity is below 85%.
- Moisture Stop can be applied to bare concrete with moisture above or below the normal maximum of 3%, provided it is not damp to the point of being wet.
