Description:
Modified silicone resin Paint based and heat-resistant black pigments for high-temperature applications on metal surfaces up to 600–640°C. This paint is ready to use, without thinning with a solvent.
Paint that can be used on various metal surfaces such as piping systems, ventilation systems, fireplace parts, or any other part of mobile or fixed equipment whose operating temperature can reach 600°C.
320HT surface-dries at room temperature and can be handled quickly. However, to achieve maximum through-hardness, the coated part requires baking for at least 1 hour at 200°C.
This baking can be done during the first ramp-up in temperature of the equipment up to its usual operating temperature. The recommended maximum continuous service temperature is 600°C (1112°F) on black metal. The product’s high heat resistance allows a maximum intermittent temperature of 640°C (1184°F) on black metal.
How to apply
Learn how to apply high-heat paint
To avoid any adhesion issues during heat-up, the surface must be clean, dry, and free of any contaminants, especially leftover paint and rust.
Sanding glossy surfaces is necessary. Also scrape off any flaking paint and sand.
FOR NEW OR RESTORED METAL: Apply 4000–667 metal conditioner, rinse and dry before applying 320HT
Stir well before application. All application must be done at a temperature between 18°C (64°F) and 27°C (81°F) and relative humidity between 40 and 70%.
Ready-to-use system requiring no thinning.
320HT paint can be applied with a conventional spray gun. Spray equipment can then be cleaned with xylene or ST-901 thinner (the latter is not available in-store).
