Loft is a concrete-look plaster specially designed for an urban, modern feel. Loft perfectly reproduces the raw concrete look and is the proud descendant of faux concrete finishes—the ultimate coating for imitating real concrete walls. Its ease of use and very “on-trend” look will appeal to fans of a clean, sophisticated style.
Surface preparation before applying plaster:
Loft Raw Concrete can be used on all perfectly smooth, sound, clean, dry surfaces EXCEPT wallpaper.
Gyproc walls with finished joints provide the best substrate.
Loft Raw Concrete can also be applied to other types of materials, such as fibre cement, finishing-grade plywood (higher grade), or ceramic wall surfaces. In all cases, screw holes and joints must be filled with the appropriate compounds.
On walls, apply one coat of Decorative Plaster Bonding Primer with a 10 mm paint roller.
Specific preparation for a ceramic wall:
To smooth wall tiles, apply one to two coats of Primer & Smoothing to fill the joints. If you apply the second coat full-coverage, you will not need to apply any other primer.
If there are areas where the ceramic is still visible, apply one coat of Loft Adhesion Primer for Countertops and Wall Tiles. Follow the recommendations indicated on the product containers.
Plaster preparation:
Mix everything with an electric drill fitted with a mixer, and make sure to mix well at the bottom and along the sides of the bucket to avoid colour differences.
The London colour is ready to use—no need to add lime to the cement mix.
For the Milan and Stockholm colours: LIME ADDITION REQUIRED to create a colour contrast similar to efflorescence.
Inside the bucket you will find a sachet of white powder (mainly containing lime) to mix with the plaster. This is not mandatory, but we recommend mixing it in, as the powder will randomly add small highlights and bring your wall to life. Without the powder, the effect will be more subtle and uniform, but just as appealing. Wear gloves and dilute the powder in approx. 150 ml of water. Wait about 10 minutes, mix, and incorporate the solution into the LOFT bucket.
Mix everything with an electric drill fitted with a mixer, and make sure to mix well at the bottom and along the sides of the bucket to avoid colour differences.
Once the lime is incorporated, your ready-to-use product must be used within 48 hours and stored in the tightly closed bucket. Any wall you start must be finished to avoid lap marks.
Application:
Apply Loft Raw Concrete generously (approx. 2 mm) using a stainless-steel trowel, working in 3 to 4 m² sections without worrying about the result.
Immediately go back over it with the same float or a wide spatula, using criss-cross, smooth, irregular movements to achieve a more or less textured look (more or less relief). Avoid “trowel” or “spatula” strokes that leave straight, unsightly marks. Let it set for approx. 2 hours, then lightly dampen your surface (approx. 3 m² at a time) with a sponge before “breaking” the edges with a metal trowel in circular motions to achieve the concrete look.
Protection for more heavily used wall surfaces:
If you want a surface that is resistant to water and stains, apply a thin coat of Clear Wall Protector (3307), using a wide brush. Spread the Protector well to help it penetrate. Let dry for 4 to 6 hours.

J’ai commandé également le primer et le vernis. Pour un mur de 100 pieds carré j’en ai eu suffisamment pour faire deux couches de primer, une épaisse de béton et une de vernis. Malgré tout le fini est impeccable!

Pas 100% satsfait du résultat… premièrement je crois que l’apprêt devrait être gris comme ça il paraîtrait pas. J’avais des picots blanc a certain endroits. Ceci a fait en sorte que j’ai du repasser a quelques endroits pour cacher ces picots blancs. Le fini est plutôt “bariolé”, plus que ce que je m’attendais. Je serais probablement meilleur si je recommençais et je peaufinerais ma technique, mais reste que si l’apprêt avait été plus gris, je n’aurais pas tenté de repasser et le produit final aurait été meilleur… J’irais avec 3,5 étoiles…

Beau fini d’installation facile. J’ai donné 4 étoiles parce que le béton a craquelé le lendemain. J’ai probablement trop mis de produit (trop épais) par contre j’ai fait des retouches pour cacher les craquelures et le résultats est très acceptable. C’est somme toute un bon produit
