Stain-Blocking Primer Sealer
Passeport Elite shellac-based primer sealer and stain blocker is excellent for permanently sealing smoke, water, rust, grease, nicotine, graffiti, marker stains, and more. It is ideal for eliminating smoke, urine, and pet odours.
Recommended for ceilings, walls, doors, trim, cabinets, furniture, and similar paintable interior surfaces. Exterior use is limited to spot priming.
Interior
Apply to new or previously painted surfaces: drywall, plaster, high-tannin wood (pine, fir, cedar, redwood, plywood), metal (aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized metal), vinyl, PVC, fiberglass, and masonry (stucco, concrete block, concrete, and brick). Blocks stains and odours from water and fire damage; seals stains from: dark colours, grease, rust, creosote, asphalt, crayons, lipstick, graffiti, markers, knots, sap streaks, tannin bleed, and more.
Exterior
Use this product to spot-prime persistently bleeding knots and sap streaks before priming the entire surface with a water- or oil-based primer. For exterior surfaces, apply to new or previously painted: wood (pine, fir, cedar, redwood, plywood, pressure-treated wood), hardboard, glass, metal (aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized metal), PVC, rigid plastics, aluminum and vinyl siding, fiberglass, and masonry (stucco, concrete block, concrete, and brick).
Stain blocker
This product is an excellent stain-blocking primer for interior surfaces. One coat effectively blocks stains—especially water, nicotine, ink, crayon, marker, rust, and smoke stains—so they will not bleed through the topcoat. Some stains require a second coat. Passeport Elite shellac-based primer sealer and stain blocker is recommended to permanently seal stains from major fires or major water leaks, as well as post-fire odours. It also seals urine and pet odours. This product is also recommended to seal nicotine stains and tobacco odours.
