Exterior concrete surfaces can become worn and dangerously slippery over time. No more slippery surfaces. Skid-Grip anti-slip paint is the ideal solution to secure, protect and beautify your outdoor or indoor spaces. Designed for homeowners seeking a durable and easy-to-apply finish, it combines performance, safety and ease of application.
Formulated in 100% acrylic and pre-loaded with aggregate (integrated sand), Skid-Grip creates an effective textured anti-slip coating from the first coat. It adheres firmly to many surfaces such as concrete, fiber cement and well-prepared non-tarred asphalt. Application is simple: a roller is all you need. Two coats are recommended, with 12 hours of drying time between each.
This exterior concrete paint or asphalt paint can be used in a variety of contexts: pool surrounds, access ramps, cement steps, sidewalks, foundations, parks, sports courts, playgrounds, parking lots, cement balconies… It provides a uniform, durable and aesthetic finish while effectively preventing slip hazards.
Compatible with Quebec outdoor conditions, Skid-Grip resists wear well. However, a few rules must be followed: apply at a temperature between 10°C and 60°C, on a clean, dry and well-prepared surface. Avoid rainy periods, and allow to dry 24 h before walking on it, 48 h if humidity is high. Also beware of de-icing salts which can damage the finish over time.

Although a selection of colors is offered by the manufacturer, we are able to reproduce the colors from the standards of any national paint manufacturer. Simply provide us with the color number and the company, and we will manufacture the color!

Surface preparation:
New asphalt and concrete surfaces must cure for at least 28 days before applying Skid-Grip. The surface to be covered must be well drained, crack-free, clean and free of dirt, debris, grease or oil. KRUD KUTTER concentrated cleaner to dilute is perfect for this type of work.
Cracks and surface defects must be filled with an appropriate specific product (repair cement or patching epoxy).
Application of Skid-Grip anti-slip paint:
The anti-slip coating is easily applied with a brush and a 10, 15, 20, or 30 mm nap roller. Choosing a thinner roller nap results in a finer texture. Conversely, a thicker nap roller will leave a thicker layer with a more pronounced texture on the surface. Applying two coats is recommended to achieve a uniform texture and color.
Skid-Grip anti-slip paint can also be applied by pouring it directly onto the floor in an “S” pattern, then spreading it with a squeegee or a 9 or 18″ roller.
Apply 2 generous coats on well-prepared asphalt and concrete.
Although the manufacturer mentions wood as a material that can be covered by this product, this is only under certain very specific conditions and uses. We do not recommend use on plywood or wood plank decks. (When wood is exposed to water and moisture, it swells and causes the coating to lift)
