Lenmar Lacquer Thinner
Lenmar™ 1A.519 Lacquer Thinner is designed to thin various Lenmar™ sealers and primers to the desired consistency for spray application. Unless indicated in a specific technical data sheet, standard reduction should be 10% or less. Lenmar™ 1A.519 Thinner is also recommended for cleaning spray guns and other application equipment.
How to apply:
Lenmar™ solvent blends are designed for multiple uses, but primarily as a thinner or retarder. Solvents play an important role in all coating systems. They are components in the coating that dissolve or interrupt the formation of the film-forming components (resins) of the coating, and they also facilitate the application process. Changing the solvent blend pre-determined by the manufacturer should only be done after fully understanding the effects of this addition.

1A.519 is a faster solvent blend than 1A.406 and is generally used more frequently in products containing nitrocellulose. CAB/acrylic products and conversion varnishes will perform better using 1A.406 Thinner as a reducer. Check the finish quality after reduction on a small sample before proceeding with production.
Recommendations:
- Mix or stir products before adding thinner
- Add thinner while stirring, then perform a spray test of the product
- Additions in quantities greater or less than the indicated levels may be necessary
- Note the specific addition made if duplication is required
