Description
Intumescent Fire-Retardant Paint (60 min) PD-10-10A
Product description
Description:
Flame Control 10-10A is an interior, VOC-compliant, mineral spirit-based, matte, alkyd-type, fire-retardant paint, manufactured in accordance with Federal Specification TT-P-26C. No. 10-10A dries quickly to a velvety matte finish, with the appearance of conventional paint. When exposed to flame or high heat, the coating thickens to form a thick, insulating cellular foam. This foam layer retards heat penetration, thereby reducing flame spread.
RECOMMENDED USES:
For application on all interior combustible surfaces where it is necessary or desirable to reduce the surface burning characteristics of combustible materials, also on metallic surfaces to retard heat and fire penetration. It is not recommended for one-hour fire resistance on steel construction beams and columns.
Features:

How to apply
Mix thoroughly by pouring or stirring. Flame Control No. 10-10A can be applied with a brush, roller, or conventional or airless high-output spray gun. Apply using a thick coat at the recommended coverage rate. To meet the established fire-retardant characteristics for this paint, paint dilution must be compensated by a reduced surface yield.
Recommendations:
USED BY:
