Two-Component Floor Varnish - Intensiv
Odorless, the professional Intensiv® floor varnish from Blanchon is made with high-quality resins that offer excellent resistance to abrasion and scratches, and remarkable flexibility. Highly effective, it hardens quickly. Blanchon Intensiv® is designed for use on all surfaces, especially in high-traffic areas: shops, offices, hotels, conference rooms, schools, hallways, entrances. Suitable for all commonly used wood species, its light shade protects and enhances the grain and the wood’s natural tone.
Blanchon Intensiv is a two-component, water-based polyurethane varnish. INTENSIV® is made with carbon-reinforced resins, selected for their unmatched resistance to abrasion and scratching, and for their stability against corrosive attacks from cleaning or disinfecting agents, alcohol, wine, tea, ink, sauces, etc. Unlike other water-based varnishes, Blanchon varnishes do not mask the wood grain in any way and produce no whitish effect. Intensiv has the ability to preserve the natural color of light woods; its milky color fades completely as it dries.

Available finishes:
- Matte (10% sheen)
- Satin (25% sheen)
- Semi-gloss (50% sheen)
Mixing:
Mix just before application. In a clean, dry container, pour the two components at a ratio of 9 parts A to 1 part B. Mix thoroughly until the blend is uniform. Do not mix too much varnish, as the mixture must be applied within a maximum of 90 minutes.
Shake components A and B vigorously before mixing them.
Application:
Apply the varnish in the direction of the wood grain using a quality synthetic-bristle brush, a foam brush, an applicator, or a roller (10 mm). Sand before applying the final coat with 180-grit paper.
Drying time:
- Touch-dry: 45 minutes
- Between coats: 6 to 24 hours
- Careful foot traffic: 12 hours
- Light use of the surface: 24 hours
- Full cure: 10 days. During this time, take precautions: do not place rugs, do not move heavy furniture, do not cover with plastic, and dust with a broom or vacuum.
- First damp cleaning: 10 days
