Blanchon Prim' Sealer Varnish Sealer
Blanchon Prim’Sealer is a fast-drying, single-component, water-based primer. Blanchon Prim’Sealer is a sealer for varnishes; it prepares the surface, hardens and seals it, while allowing for the saving of one coat of varnish. Prim’ Sealer barely alters the natural color of the wood, dries quickly, and its ease of sanding speeds up your finishing cycle. Mostly used on floors, it can also be used for all hardwood or softwood projects.

Preparation:
The wood must be clean and free of any traces of old varnish, oil, wax, or other finishes. Sand the wood, finishing with 100 or 120 grit sandpaper, and carefully remove dust. Stain if necessary, following the recommended instructions for the stain.
For stripped wood, thoroughly clean the surface, ensuring all residues are removed. Clean the surface with a mild citrus thinner and sand with 120-grit sandpaper.
Acclimate the product to an ambient temperature above 15°C
How to apply:
Apply evenly with a quality synthetic bristle brush, foam brush, or 6 mm roller. If you then apply two coats of varnish, sanding the Prim’Sealer is optional. If the application of Prim’Sealer is not uniform, you must sand it with 120 to 150 grit sandpaper.
Drying time:
- Touch dry: 20 minutes
- Between coats: after 1 to 1.5 hours and before 24 hours
- Full cure: 5 days
